This Privacy Policy explains how OwoFarm (the "Application," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our Discord-related software and any OAuth integration registered for it. OwoFarm is an open-source project published at https://github.com/Paiiss/owofarm.
OwoFarm is designed to run on your own device. We do not operate a centralized service that stores your Discord account data on our servers.
1. Information You Provide Locally
When you run OwoFarm on your computer, you may store the following locally:
- Discord credentials — such as a user token in your local
.envfile. - Configuration data — channel IDs, feature toggles, and intervals in local JSON config files.
- Runtime logs — console output on your machine while the Application is running.
This information stays on your device unless you choose to share it (for example, by posting logs or config files in a public support channel).
2. Information Processed to Operate the Application
To function, OwoFarm may process:
- Your Discord user ID, username, and display name.
- Messages and embeds sent by the OwO bot in channels you configure.
- Guild, channel, and mention data needed to send commands and read responses.
Processing occurs locally in the Application on your device. OwoFarm reads Discord messages only to automate responses to OwO bot output (for example, captcha detection, inventory parsing, and quest progress).
3. Information Sent to Third Parties
When you use OwoFarm, your device communicates directly with:
- Discord — to log in, send messages, and (when captcha handling is triggered) complete OAuth authorization with Discord's official API at https://discord.com.
- OwO bot / owobot.com — only when opening captcha or authentication URLs returned through Discord's OAuth flow, at https://owobot.com.
We do not collect, store, or transmit your Discord token to OwoFarm-operated servers. The Application does not send your credentials to unknown third-party analytics, advertising, or data-broker services.
4. Discord OAuth Application
If you authorize OwoFarm through Discord's OAuth consent screen, Discord may share limited account information with the Application according to the scopes you approve (for example, identify, email, or guild-related scopes if requested by the integration). That data is used only to perform the authorized function (such as opening an OwO captcha verification flow) and is not sold or used for advertising by OwoFarm.
Discord's own privacy practices are described at https://discord.com/privacy.
5. Cookies and Web Tracking
The static legal pages in this documentation site do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. If you visit third-party sites linked from OwoFarm (such as Discord or owobot.com), those sites may set their own cookies under their respective policies.
6. Data Retention
Because OwoFarm runs locally, retention is controlled by you. Config files and environment variables remain on your device until you delete them. We do not maintain a central database of user accounts for the open-source client.
7. Security
You are responsible for securing your device and credentials. We recommend:
- Never committing your
.envfile or Discord token to version control. - Restricting file permissions on machines where OwoFarm is installed.
- Revoking compromised tokens immediately in Discord's account settings.
- Only downloading OwoFarm from the official repository or trusted sources.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. Use the Application at your own risk.
8. Children's Privacy
OwoFarm is not directed at children under 13. Discord requires users to meet its minimum age requirements. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a deployment you control, delete the local configuration and revoke Discord access.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. Because OwoFarm stores data locally on your device, you can exercise most rights directly by deleting local files, stopping the Application, and revoking Discord authorizations in your Discord account settings.
10. International Users
If you use OwoFarm from outside your home country, your information may be processed by Discord and other third-party services according to their global infrastructure and policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the Application after an update means you accept the revised policy.
12. Contact
Privacy questions may be submitted via GitHub Issues: https://github.com/Paiiss/owofarm/issues.
